• We provide churches with interim pastors of worship.

  • We provide practical experience for those called to use their talents in the Church.

  • We coach lead worshipers and churches in methods of effectively shepherding the Body of Christ.

  • We provide discipleship materials to churches because making disciples is the foundation of all ministry.

Our Story

Our ministry started in April of 2015 when our Founder/President, Jeremy, observed a significant need in the local churches of Texas. There seemed to be a shortage of music ministers. But why?

With that in mind, Jeremy set up a time to meet with the Southern Baptists of Texas (SBTC) music representative to see what common needs he saw in the 2500 church affiliate organization. The rep shared that he had churches call him every week without a music minister. They did not have anyone who wanted to lead from within their congregation. He noticed that less and less people even considered their musical gifts as an opportunity to minister. Vocational ministry was becoming pursued less. After all, there isn’t any money in vocational ministry, right?  He further shared that those who were pursuing music leadership were not being trained in ways best suited to prepare them for pastoral ministry. They weren't being challenged to be both educated in theology and excellent in their musical craft. They weren’t being taught how to pastor people and teach that worship is more than executing a Sunday service.

Jeremy pitched the idea of partnering with the SBTC to train up people with the intention of plugging them into churches in need. What if we could provide people with opportunities to grow in their craft and challenge them to re-evaluate the idea that ministry is only for vocational people? Discipleship as the center of this ministry could help equip vocational and layperson leaders. Re-vive's mission is to impact the culture of worship in the local church by investing in its leaders.

So many times we think music as being a hobby one should leave behind to become a responsible adult with a full-time job. We don't measure what we sing in the local church to the standard of what is preached in the pulpit. The songs we sing are equally theological and demonstrate what we believe about God. They shouldn't just make people feel good and stir emotions. They should provide substance of biblcal truths which church members can hold onto in times of joy and sorrow throughout seasons of living.

Our hope is that God will use this ministry to provide the local church with equipped musical leaders. As discipleship occurs and musical experience is given, our hope is that this ministry blesses, strengthens, and challenges the local church. Please join us in prayer. Thanks to those who have blessed and empowered our ministry in support.
